The reserve is divided into several zones, each with its own entry gate. The gates most accessible from Asmi Villa are Alizanza, Kolara and Navegaon, offering entry into the core and buffer zones of the park.
Wildlife Diversity
Tadoba is a haven for a remarkable variety of animal species. While the Bengal tiger remains the star attraction, the park is also home to leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs (dholes), and a large population of herbivores such as sambar, chital (spotted deer), and nilgai.

Muktai Waterfall
Located in the dense forests of Doma village, approximately 22 km from Asmi Villa, Muktai Waterfall is a picturesque cascade that comes alive during the monsoon season. The water plunges from a height of about 57 feet, creating a breathtaking spectacle. It is a popular spot for picnics and day trips, offering a refreshing escape into nature. The waterfall is named after the Muktai temple situated nearby.

Ramdegi Waterfall
Another scenic spot is the Ramdegi Waterfall, located about 28 km from Asmi Villa. This area is not only known for its waterfall but also as a tranquil picnic spot, rich in biodiversity, including various species of small birds and butterflies. The main village near Ramdegi is Asmi Villa itself, making it an easily accessible excursion.

Shri Hari Balaji Devasthan
A prominent religious landmark in Chimur is the Shri Hari Balaji Devasthan, often called the 'Tirupati of Maharashtra.' The temple's history dates back to 1704, and it is particularly famous for its annual Ghoda Yatra (Horse Festival). This 15-day fair, held in February, is a vibrant spectacle of culture and devotion, attracting thousands of pilgrims and tourists.
